Willkommen in Deutschland

After several long layovers, a few missed connections and reroutings and even a missed flight. I finally arrived in Germany. My first afternoon was spent relaxing, getting over jet lag and taking in the view from the balcony of the home I was staying in.

I went to bed early because the next day was a big day. On my second day there we went to the Esslingen Medieval Adventmarkt. Walking up to the market I saw the coolest thing and decided that I just HAVE to try that when I grow up!

It was a very cold day so the first stop was at the Gluhwein Pyramide to have some hot Eierpunsch. It was SO yummy and warmed me right up.

Then it was time to go for a ride with my host on the Carousel. I learned that he was OBSESSED with cars so we rode for quite a while.

Some of the local dolls wanted a photo with the traveling celebrity (I don't know how they heard about me but I never want to disappoint a fan).

Our stomachs started growling at this point and the band was playing so we found a nice little soup stall and had Kurbiscreme (pumpkin) soup and some hot chocolate while listening and watching the festivities.

We walked around looking at all the fun shops when I was kidnapped by a rogue pirate. He gave me a kiss and a gold doubloon, saying that "every gypsy needs a little gold and luck during their travels."

We got to play some games too! I got pretty good at storming the castle!

I saw this cool mushroom house while walking and just had to have a picture!

We couldn't take pictures inside but we stopped and helped bake some Leberkuchen (gingerbread) before heading out for the day.

On the way out we stopped to pay tribute to a soldier dedication at the local church. "Fearless and Faithful."

The other big event while I was in Germany was Sankt Niklaus Tag. Children all over Europe leave their shoe out for St. Nik on the Eve of 5 December and in the morning, if they have been good, St. Nik leaves a treat for them. I put my shoe with the others in the house, hoping that even though I am originally from America, I could join in on the fun.

I was good, I was good!! I got a treat in my shoe!

I had SO much fun in Germany. I got to help the lady of the house wrap presents the day before I left and play with many friends. I have many adventures ahead of me, getting to go back to America, Canada, Korea and China. I am feel so special being able to have this chance to go on the journey of a life time. Now hopefully I can get through this snow storm and make my flight on time... Auf Wiedersehen

Welcome To Canada !!

After a long journey from the Kennison's house Perrin finally made it to Lashburn Saskatchewan Canada to spend some time with the Pinder's. She didn't even have time to unpack her bags and she was whisked off on a trip with Mr. and Mrs. Pinder. This was supposed to be just the 2 of them Going Christmas shopping in Edmonton but Perrin promised that she could keep a secret, and couldn't wait to see the West Edmonton Mall !!

After a quick stop at Tim Horton's we where on our way. Perrin decided this was a good time for a little rest after a wonderful few days in Disney World and her long journey to Canada. Once we arrived at the West Ed Mall we decided to get our hotel room and drop off our bags. Perrin had a great time exploring the room.

After we all got settled we decided to do a bunch of shopping. We didn't have a lot of time for picture taking but we all had a great day.

She loved seeing the big ship .

After a long day of shopping we had to check out the huge Jacuzzi tub in our room. The next day we had one more stop to make before heading home.

We had a great trip and Perrin was all shopped out. She was so excited to get home, meet the kids and get ready for Halloween !!

Everyone was very excited to pick out their pumpkins!!

Hmm what should i make on mine?.......

Perrin was very eager to get started but Mrs. Pinder thought just maybe she should help her out. After some hard thinking and some whispering to keep it a secret she decided on the perfect design....

While Perrin was waiting for everything to be cleaned up she made a new friend. Jessica and Perrin hit if off right away and decided they must be best friends. After playing around for a while they decided to pick out their Halloween costumes.

Well after she had changed clothes this little guy fell in love with her!!

Surprise!! She decided she missed being at Disney world so why not make her a pumpkin that reminded her of what a great time she had :) She loved her Mickey pumpkin!!

All the pumpkins together at night time.

What a great way to end the night, a bowl of fresh hot roasted pumpkin seeds for bed time snack.

Perrin woke up very excited, as today is Halloween. Now just to wait till after school for trick or treating ...

They had to get a group shot :)

Perrin was a little nervous about all the scary Halloween costumes but little Buzz told her he would keep her safe.

Wow what a night!!

Look at all the candy i got!!

Time to pick out a bedtime snack.

Well the weather has not been the nicest during Perrin's stay, tons of snow and very cold and windy out. Luckily her last day visiting the weather finally cooperated and we all went out side to play.

Perrin had so much fun playing in the snow!!

As Perrin lays her head down for the very last time in the Pinder house hold, she is very excited about where she will end up next. She dreams of the all the amazing friends she is going to make and places she is going to see. We will miss Perrin so very much as she has become part of our family but cant wait to read all about her next adventure.

Goodbye Perrin, we hope you have safe travels to your next home!!!
Love the Pinder's XOXO

A dream weekend

Perrin arrived at the Kennison home for a very short visit, only four days. She arrived just in time to join the family for a long weekend at Disney World and Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. After being told of the plans for the weekend she was very excited but a little hoarse from all the cheering the week before! She had already seen two different cities and was ready for the third. We soon learned she is no different than any other child. She barely slept that night knowing that she'd be going to Disney in the morning. As soon as she heard me get up to start packing and make coffee she ran downstairs in her nightgown to help...4am didn't seem too early!

Zarifa showed her the drawer of clothes she could choose outfits from and she soon had her bag packed and ready to go.

We arrived at Disney just as the sun came up. She squealed with delight!

We checked into the hotel and unpacked before heading to Hollywood Studios. She thought the hotel was meant just for dolls like herself!

A wonderful cast member named Jennifer welcomed Perrin with her first visit button.

Hollywood Studios was amazing! She rode all the rides and saw all the sights.

Perrin thinks Aerosmith rocks!

3D glasses make her look sooo smart!

The army men made her feel safe.

Mike Wazowski was a funny Monster!

The At-At walker was huge!

Perrin learned all about Disney pin trading and even got a lanyard of her own. She thought Katee had the best pins all day.

The cast members loved meeting Perrin.

After a long day it was time to head back to the hotel to put on our halloween costumes for Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party at magic Kingdom.

Huge pumpkins!

Riding the monorail was awesome.

We got in just in time to watch the parade.

After the parade we headed straight for the Haunted Mansion. Her develish side loved the guys dressed up as zombies.

We decided to go ride the rides in Tomorrowland. On the way we stopped for the classic castle picture and let Perrin try to pull the sword from the stone.

Zurg was an angry toy!

It was late at this point and it had been a very long day, so we promised Perrin she could visit us again and we would take her back to Magic Kingdom to see the rest of the park. Her feet were tired so she asked to be carried back to the room. She thought her costume was one of the best in the park!

The next morning Perrin grumbled into the covers when we tried to wake her up.

We let her sleep in and decided to go into EPCOT’s food and wine festival later that day.

We explained to Perrin that she was going to Canada next and let her see some of the cool things there.

On the way out Perrin got to meet the fab 5

Day 3 was an all new adventure! Universal Studios Islands of Adventure is a much higher paced park. After getting tickets we set off to find the thrill seeker within Perrin. She did not disappoint.

The Hulk made her nervous but she wanted to ride.

It looked like she was not tall enough...

Until she stood up on her tippy toes!

Unfortunately she was too small for the seats.

Meeting Dr. Doom should be so fun!

Perrin was wrong, her was big and scary!

The Green Goblin gave her quite a fright as well!

Thank God Captain America came to save the day!

Perrin discovered the lost continent of Atlantis

Perrin said she is as hungry as a dinosaur!

She almost became dinosaur lunch herself!

Perrin really wants to meet Harry Potter.

Hogsmeade is the funnest town!

Perrin was hoping for a ride on the Hogwarts Express...the conductor was ready to go!

On our final day we asked Perrin what she would like to do. She chose to go back into EPCOT to get some daytime pictures and ride the rides. But first a quick stop at Downtown Disney for a little shopping at the lego store.

Legos made just for girls!

Perrin was remembering her last run in with a T-rex!

Epcot here we go...again!

Perrin loves China and the food!

Pyramids in Mexico! The Mayan people were awesome!

Shark bait!

It was a fantastic four days and we will miss dear little Perrin. We look forward to seeing her again in April for a full 10 day visit.
